Při mineralogicko-sedimentologickém studiu byla pozornost soustředěna na nivní sedimenty holocenního stáří ukládané podél toku Doubravy ve formě agradačního valu, případně vyplňující fosilní opuštěné říční meandry. Detailně byly studovány dva profily. Prvním je přirozený odkryv v korytě Doubravy protékající Žehušickou oborou, druhý profil byl dočasně odkryt při stavbě čističky odpadních vod v Záboří.

Mineralogy of the Holocene flood sediments of the river Doubrava forming natural levee and filling meander cutoffs was studied. Two sections were investigated in detail. The first one is an outcrop in the river Doubrava bed running through the Žehušice game-park, the second section was temporarily exposed during construction of the sewage disposal plant at Záboří.
