The properties of the neutron pixel detector based on the single X-ray photon pixel detector device Medipix-2 were investigated. Slow neutrons are captured and converted in a surface layer containing Li-6 to tritons and alpha particles which are subsequently detected by a silicon pixel detector. The imager was used for neutron tomographic measurements with high resolution.

Byly zkoumány vlastnosti pixelového detektoru neutronů, založeného na pixelovém detektoru jednotlivých X fotonů Medipix-2. Pomalé neutrony jsou zachycováy v povrchové vrstvě, obsahující Li-6, kde jsou konvertovány na tritony a alfa částice. Ty jsou následně detekovány křemíkovým pixelovým detektorem. Zobrazovací zařízení bylo použito na neutronovou tomografii s vysokým rozlišením.
