AnnotationThe impinging jet of moderate Reynolds number(Re=10000) is studied by means of Constant Temperature Anemometry. The flow is excited by modulating the jet velocity. The effect of the flow is documented for nozzle-to-plate distance H/D ranging from 2 to 8. An observed feature is the reduction of the velocity fluctuation near the wall, which can be achieved by proper excitation. The effect of the flow excitation is strongest for H/D=6.
