The effect of the acid centre concentration on catalytic activity of the ion exchangers was tested by measurements of initial reaction rate of reesterification of ethyl acetate with propanol in a CSTR-type reactor. There was found that the slope of the dependence of the catalytic activity on the degree of the resin neutralization and decreases roughly in the order tertiary > secondary > primary.
