Text zkoumá složité podmínky surrealistické tvorby za protektorátu. Zabývá se dílem protagonistů původní pražské surrealistické skupiny (Štyrský, Toyen, Teige, Heisler), sleduje nástup mladé generace (Istler, Zykmund, Fára) a nové tříbení názorů na současný stav surrealismu těsně po osvobození.
This text focuses on surrealist movement in the Czech lands during the war, when it was banned. In the stifling atmosphere of the Protectorate, it represented, for the young generation, an alluring chalenge to engage in free creative thought. Immediately following the liberation, there were debates in Prague, as in Paris and Brussels, about the contemporary state of surrealism and its future orientation.
