Annotation	The paper deals with research program of the Institute of Geonics focused on pulsating water jets. Extensive program is in progress to understand the basic principles of the process of generation and transfer of pulsations in high-pressure water jet cutting system and utilisation of pulsations for high speed pulsating water jets generation.
