A laser generation on the supersonic COIL device with the output power of 430 W and the small al gain up to 0.4 %/cm were attained via chlorine atoms. Fluorine way of atomic iodine generation was studied hitherto on a small-scale device and the maximum yield of I atoms related to the input F2 was 27 %.
