In the subcontinental, lowland region of Central Bohemia, extraordinarily complex pattern of vegetation is present. Three radiocarbon-dated pollen diagrams for the area indicate that this complexity results from prehistoric human impact. It was the mediator between the abiotic diversity and selectively transformed vegetation suitable for the respective habitats.

V nížinných oblastech středních Čech se subkontinentálně laděným klimatem v současnosti nacházíme mimořádně složitou vegetační mozaiku. Tři radiokarbonově datované pylové diagramy z tohoto území ukazují, že tato současná vegetace je výsledkem intenzívního lidského vlivu v pravěku. Ten hrál roli převodníku mezi abiotickou diverzitou a mezi selektivně transformovanou vegetací na určitých pro ni vhodných stanovištích.
