In our colony of Dahl/Rapp rats we were not able to find any polymorphism in the gene for inducible nitric oxide synthase (Nos2 gene) which was described in Harlan colony of these animals. It seems that gene polymorphism found in Harlan colony could result from previous contamination or genetic drift

V naší kolonii Dahl/Rapp potkanů jsme nenašli polymorfismy genu pro indukovatelnou NOS, které byly dříve popsány u zvířat z Harlan kolonie. Zdá se, že polymorfismy nalezené v Harlan kolonii jsou důsledkem předchozí kontaminace nebo genetického driftu
