It also provides a strong support for the view that (i) there is a correlation between antitumor activity of platinum compounds and their capacility to induce in DNA a certain sort of conformational and other alterations; (ii) this correlation may be exploited for simple screening of new platinum complexes for antitumor activity in the search for new antitumor platinum drugs.
