Annotation
In the period 1999-2002 cases of non-specific myiases in the Czech and Slovac Republůics were investigated with the cooperation of State veterinary services. Myiases caused by larvae of the bloow-fly Lucilia sericata Meigen were observed in cattle, sheep, dogs, and cats. These were also observed rarely in horses, rabits, porcupines, hedgehogs, ostriches, the bird species Falco tinnunculatus, the snake Natrix natrix, and in Testudo sp., a terrestrial turtle.
