Studie analyzuje původ, vlastnickou strukturu a obchodní aktivity Tiskařského a vydavatelského družstva českých agrárníků Novina. Demonstruje specifika podnikání ve vysoce nacionalizovaném a zpolitizovaném prostředí českých zemí/ Československa, která jdou nad rámec standardních učebnicových paradigmat ekonomie. Výchozím bodem práce je institucionální zázemí společnosti Novina. Poté následuje prozkoumání mechanismu rozhodovacích procesů a hledání odpovědí na otázku ekonomických výsledků společnosti v situacích, kdy jsou k dispozici pouze dílčí a různorodé zdroje.

The study analyzes the origin, ownership structure and business activities of the Printing and Publishing Cooperative of Czech Agrarians Novina. It demonstrates the specifics of business in a highly politicized and nationalized area of the Bohemian Lands/Czechoslovakia, which go beyond the standard textbook paradigms of economics. The starting point of the work is the institutional background of Novina. This is followed by an examination of the mechanism of decision-making processes and the search for answers to the question of the company‘s economic results in situations where only fragmentary and disparate sources are available.
