The optimum growth range of temperature in S. tolypothrichoides was higher than T. bouteillei . The optimum irradiance range for growth of S. tolypothrichoides was slightly lower than T. bouteillei. Maximum EPS production by S. tolypothrichoides occurred at similar temperatures as T. bouteillei, both slightly higher than for maximum growth. The optimum irradiance range for EPS production was comparable to that for growth in S. tolypotrichoides, and slightly lower in T. bouteillei. The Redundancy Analysis confirmed that temperature
was the most important controlling factor.Workplace Institute of Botany Contact Martina Bartošová, martina.bartosova@ibot.cas.cz, ibot@ibot.cas.cz, Tel.: 271 015 242 ; Marie Jakšová, marie.jaksova@ibot.cas.cz, Tel.: 384 721 156-8 Year of Publishing 2020 Electronic address http://hdl.handle.net/11104/0300391
