The low level light therapy (LLLT), represents the use of light to stimulate cellular functions. Energy of light can enhance the metabolic processes that result in tissue repair. It has also been shown to improve functional recovery after different types of spinal cord injury. However, there are conflicting results due to several technical variabilities, which are discussed in the article.
