    The chapter examine the biological affect of spinal cord injury (SCI) as well compare types of stem cells that might be used in human medicine and mechanism of their action in vivo. Additionally, ir reviews the benefits of biocompatible scaffolds used to bridge spinal cord defects and the use of nanoparticles for labeling stem cells in order to follow their migration and fate in the host tissue.
