The work is concerned with modelling the airflow in human glottis in time dependent domain. The compressible viscous flow described by the Navier-Stokes equations in the ALE formulation and elastic deformations of the vocal folds are coupled either by loose or strong coupling. The space discretization of the flow problem is carried out by the discontinuous Galerkin FE method and for the time discretization a semi-implicit scheme is used. In the space-time discretization of the elastic body problem, the FE method is applied using continuous piecewise linear elements and the Newmark method.
