Workshop held within the framework of project Multinationality and Science: Multicultural and Multinational Links Between Science and Intelligentsia Across Czechoslovakia Between 1918 and 1948. The main presentation of Jan Surman (Vienna University) analysed the mobility of professors and "Privatdozenten" in the Cisleithanian part of the Habsburg Monarchy (Core-Austria, Galicia, Bohemia, Moravia) during the period 1848-1918 in the context of the national ruptures in the university system.
