In the near infrared region optical beams emitted by diode lasers are strongly divergent and have a moderate astigmatism and ellipticity. For their collimation single holographic diffractive elements can be used. A series of that collimators have been recorded using Ar laser line 458 nm. The elements are inspected in a reverse arrangement in a collimated HeNe beam and a diffraction pattern of the second diffraction order beam is analyzed by Spiricon CCD camera. Spot diagrams were also computed.
