The copolymerization and addition of styrene and N-phenylmaleimide have been found to proceed at 125řC in the presence of TEMPO radicals. The synthesized poly(styrene-co-N-phnylmaleimide)s initiated polymerization of styrene under formation of block copolymers. The reaction products were characterized using SEC and NMR.
