AnnotationThe possible configurations resulting from mutual combinations of mobilities of analytes, macrocomponents and the coion of the background electrolyte were studied and conditions that have to be fulfilled so that maximum sensitivity of analysis is reached were described. Theoretical description of the separation process was performed both for strong and weak electrolytes and a parameter crucial for the stacking effect was defined. Theoretical considerations were verified by experiments both with simple and complex serum-like samples and by sophisticated near-real-conditions computer simulations.
