Soubor teoreticko-metodologických úvah členů týmu, který řeší problém sociálních hierarchií v novodobých společnostech na příkladu komunistického vládnutí: sociální hierarchie a sociální ekvity, významové statusy, antropologické představy o vzniku vztahu nad- a podřízenosti v komunitě, koncept moci u N. Eliase. Zásadní hypotéza uzavírá studii - vládu v budovatelských režimech lze pojímat jako ovládání původně ústavních mocí nadřazenou paralelní mocí, komunistickou stranou.
