Dynamics of particles influenced by magnetic islands and electrostatic turbulence has been studied. We have found that introducing toroidal effects brings an additional form of stochasticity of particles, which one cannot obtain from the cylindrical description. The effect appears even in the case of one set of islands at one rational surface and contributes to the diffusivity of particles. First estimates show that the effect of potential turbulent perturbations strongly influences the islands effect and therefore must be included in the global description.
