This paper confirmed the presence of three distinct, but genetically close species of the genus Heracleum invading in Europe. Heracelum laciniatum is synonymous with H. persicum. High genetic variability was found in the invaded range and multiple introductions of all three species are likely to have occured.

Výsledky potvrzují přítomnost tří blízce příbuzných druhů rodu Heracleum, které jsou invazní v Evropě. Heracleum laciniatum je synonymem pro H. persicum. V invadovaném areálu byla zjištěna velká genetická variabilita a pravděpodobně docházelo k opakovaným introdukcím všech tří druhů bolševníku do Evropy.
