AnnotationDispersion of emissions from vehicle traffic was modeled by physical modelling method. The model represents an inner-city intersection that was scaled down to 1:200. The velocity field and the corresponding concentration field were investigated inside an intersection and near an entrance of street canyon in detail. The significant accumulation occurs inside the corner vortexes near the entry of the canyon. The values of concentration were three times higher here than elsewhere and furthermore, dangerous values reaches up to the roof level. Further in the street, total level of concentration decreases due to development of vertical vortex and subsequent improvement of ventilation, but the leeward side shows the higher concentration than the windward side due
