Studie se věnuje českým příjmením motivovaným hlavou a jejími částmi (vlasy, nos, uši, oči, ústa). Prezentovaný výzkum se inspiroval kognitivní antropologickou lingvistikou a konceptem „jazykového obrazu světa“ a pokouší se aplikovat tuto teorii na materiál osobních jmen. Příjmení byla odvozena z apelativ s významem hlava (např. Hlaváček) a její části (např. Nosál, Vočko), pokud byly tyto části těla atypické, nápadné. Mnoho příjmení v sobě též nese hodnocení nebo informaci o sociálním postavení pojmenované osoby (např. Beznoska). Studie se též zabývá teorií centra a periferie – srovnáním příjmení vztahujícím se k vlasům (např. Kučera), totiž můžeme zrekonstruovat prototyp, k němuž se vztahují, nebo vůči němuž se vymezují, tj. člověk s rovnými vlasy.

This paper is focused on Czech surnames motivated by a head and its parts (hair, nose, ears, eyes, mouth). The presented research was inspired by the cognitive anthropological linguistic and the concept of “linguistic image of the world” and it tries to apply this theory on material of personal names. Surnames were derived from common nouns with meaning head (e.g. Hlaváček) and its parts (e.g. Nosák, Vočko etc.) if these parts were atypical, conspicuous. Many of these surnames also carry an evaluation or information about the social status of the named person (e.g. Beznoska). The theory of the centre and periphery is discussed as well ‒ by comparing surnames related to hair (e.g. Kučera), the prototype to which they relate or to which they are defined can be reconstructed, i.e. a person with straight hair.
