The detailed obituary is devoted to the life and scientific contribution of Vladimír Kříž (1951-2019), a Czech scholar in the field of Bulgarian studies and publisher. Attached in the annex is an edition of V. Kříž's translation of the Georgi Rupchev's poem Tybalt's Death.
