Problémem je neúplnost fondu zdejších právních knihoven a nedostatečná dostupnost starších právních textů. Projekt se snaží překonat uvedené obtíže digitalizací starší právní literatury – pořízením skenů stránek, kterých vzniklo 628 GB a zároveň pomocí OCR vytvořeným a manuálně opraveným textem o celkové velikosti 12 GB. Texty doplňuje důkladný metadatový popis a celek tak tvoří jedinečnou veřejně přístupnou právní databázi, zaměřenou právněhistoricky a plně vyhovující odborným právním potřebám. Description in English The database is preserving the heritage of the national legal culture of our lands as a part of the European and World legal culture and to make it better accessible and researchable. A problem is the incompleteness of Czech legal libraries and insufficient accessibility of older legal texts. The aim of the project is to overcome these problems through the digitization of the older legal literature – by page scans, where 628 GB were produced, as well as 12 GB of OCR-generated and manually corrected text. The texts are supplemented with careful description and legal metadata. This forms a unique open access legal database, designed specially for legal needs and focused on legal history.
