Das Jesuitenkolleg in der Neustadt von Prag wurde dank vieler großzügiger Gönner errichtet, unter denen die Sternberger von größter Bedeutung waren. Die Gründerin des Kollegs und Unterstützerin der Gymnasius-Schule war Marie Maximilian von Sternberg, geb. von Hohenzollern. Ludmila Kateřina Benigna von Sternberg, geb. Kavka von Říčan, trug maßgeblich zum Bau des ursprünglich geplanten Noviziats bei. Dank dieser Unterstützung wurde 1659 am heutigen Karlsplatz eine neue Ordensresidenz errichtet. Ein weiterer Gönnerkreis ist mit dem Bau und der Ausstattung der St. Ignatius-Kirche verbunden.

The Jesuit College in New Town of Prague was constructed thanks to many generous patrons among whom the Sternbergs were of utmost importance. The founder of the college and supporter of Gymnasius school was Marie Maximilian of Sternberg, née from Hohenzollern. Ludmila Kateřina Benigna of Sternberg, née Kavková of Říčany, significantly contributed to the construction of the originally intended novitiate. Thanks to this support, in 1659 a new order residence was built on today's Charles Square. Another circle of patrons is connected with the construction and furnishing of St. Ignatius Church.
