Článek studuje okolnosti tzv. Coronadovy výpravy do nitra jihozápadu dnešních USA. Upozorňuje na zdánlivě nedůležitou odlišnost obou světů, které se zde setkaly, jež nakonec vedla k neúspěchu conquistadorů.

The article studies the circumstances of the so-called Coronado expedition into the interior of the southwest of today's USA. It draws attention to the seemingly unimportant difference between the two worlds that met here, which ultimately led to the failure of the conquistadors.
