Emphasis is laid on minimal intervention in the valuable material that needs to be preserved to the maximum extent, especially without larger interventions in visible parts of the damaged elements. The design will find application in situations where it is not possible or appropriate to use the common procedures (scarf joints or replacement of entire elements) and, on the contrary, it is necessary to carefully fill out or substitute bio-damaged parts of the structural elements. Sensitive approaches described here are especially suitable for conservatory purposes (for repairs of ceiling structures, roof trusses, timber houses or half-timbered buildings).
