In the ethanol deep oxidation, the monoliths containing about 13 wt. % of Co_iO; showed high activity, which was comparable with that of pelletized Co303 catalyst. The N20 conversion over the pellelized Co303 at 450 °C was two times higher compared to the. monolith catalyst of the same volume. Examination of the properties of the simulated catalytic layer in the monoliths showed positive effect of the ceria-zirconia washcoat leading to better Co/f dispersion manifesting itself by lower reduction temperature Tmax in H2-TPR profiles than that observed for the pelletized commercial Co303 catalyst.
