    Besides ATP and GTP production mitochondria liberate non utilized energy, form a zone of strong static electric field and proton space charge layer around them, which are critical for physical processes, in particular for microtubule electrical polar oscillations participating in cellular functions. Mitochondrial dysfunction may result in disturbances of physical processes participating in cellular morphological changes and tissue irregularities observed in cytological and histological cancer diagnostics.
