Results of XRD analyses indicated a dramatic increase of the basal spacing value (d001) of organically premodified Bentonite for water systems compared to the pure sodium montmorillonite. The structure of resulting intercalates is discussed with support of some IR, XRF, and thermal analyses measured data Workplace Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals Contact Eva Jirsová, jirsova@icpf.cas.cz, Tel.: 220 390 227 Year of Publishing 2010
