The results of the present study suggest that while activation of beta-catenin potentiates expression so AhR target genes, such as CYP1A1 and CYP1B1, the persistent AhR ligands induce beta-catenin degradation and inhibit expression of genes regulated by canonical Wnt pathway.
Výsledky této studie prokazují, že zatímco aktivace beta-kateninu vede k posílení exprese některých genů regulovaných AhR, jako jsou např. CYP1A1 a CYP1B1, perzistentní AhR ligandy mohou naopak způsobovat degradaci beta-kateninu a inhibovat expresi genů regulovaných kanonickou Wnt dráhou.
