Kombinací nádorů exprimujících “Zelený fluorescenční protein” (GFP) a polymerních konjugátů nesoucích vhodnou fluorescenční sondu, nám umožňuje sledovat a mapovat akumulaci v místě nádoru a porovnat směrované konjugáty s nesměrovanými. Je také možné provádět dlouhodobé analýzy stejné anatomické lokace a sledovat biologickou odpověď (jako je třeba růst nádoru) v průběhu času
