AnnotationCationic (E,Z)-chelated palladium(II) complexes with diphosphinoazines containing isopropyl, cyclohexyl and tert-butyl substituents on the donor phosphorus atoms were prepared from the corresponding diphosphinoazines and the acetonitrile palladium(II) chloride complex. Deprotonation of the cationic complexes with triethyamine leads to neutral amido complexes with ene-hydrazone PNPž frame of the ligands which is of unsymmetrical pincer type. Palladium(II) complex with a new (E,E)-tetradentate coordination mode was also prepared with the isopropyl ligand and completely characterized including X-ray diffraction.
