The paper verifies the adequacy of existing methodological tools for literary studies applied to the serialized narration on the basis of fairly extensive research into Czech material and judge their applicability to narratives modelled by the specific situation of serialized digital publication. In conclusion, the author interprets digital serialized novels as a manifestation of vernacular culture.
