AnnotationRecent molecular and cellular studies have highlighted a potentially important role for tick exosomes in parasite transmission. Here we summarize evolving hypotheses about the largely unknown cellular events that may take place at the tick–host–pathogen interface, focusing on a potential role for arthropod exosomes in this tripartite interaction.
