Spatřuji zde určitý nezamýšlený paradox: ačkoli patří vyprávěcí hlas ženě, Hrabalově manželce Elišce (Pipsi), její svět, ideje a pocity zde nejsou příliš tematizovány a de facto mizejí. Ženský subjekt zde sehrává pouze podřadnou úlohu: vystupuje pouze jako literární reprezentace světa muže, autorského subjektu Bohumila Hrabala. Description in English In the paper (entitled "Present Female Voice, Vanished Female Subject: Hrabal’s Svatby v domě trilogy"), I focus on Bohumil Hrabal’s trilogy Svatby v domě (Weddings In a House), Vita Nuova a Proluky (Vacant Places) from a gender point of view. I see an unintended discursive and narrative paradox there in the text of those novels: although the narrator – the present female voice – is Hrabal’s wife Eliška (Pipsi), her world, ideas, and feelings vanish. The female subject plays merely a subservient role, acting as the literary representation of the world of a man, the author Bohumil Hrabal.
