Data from the abundance monitoring of Erebia euryale(Lepidoptera: Satyrinae) showed prominent adult abundance fluctuations peaking in even years with two orders of magnitude in Šumava Mts., less distinct odd year peaks in the Hrubý Jeseník Mts. and no fluctuations in the Krkonoše Mts. The mechanisms behind these patterns are discussed.
