Tzv. hibernská Janua se Komenskému stala inspirací pro sestavení vlastní učebnice pod obdobným názvem; Komenský sice podrobil koncepci svých předchůdců kritice, převzal nicméně do své učebnice nezanedbatelný počet stejných nebo podobných uskupení lexikálních prostředků. Srovnáváme-li obě učebnice, je tedy třeba vedle výrazných rozdílů, zejména v kompozici, vidět též podobnosti až shody v práci s vybranou slovní zásobou.

The so-called Hibernian Janua inspired Comenius to compile his own textbook under a similar title. Although he subjected the approach of his predecessors to criticism, he did include a fair amount of identical or analogical groupings of lexical items into his own textbook. Upon comparison of both books it becomes evident that apart from marked differences, notably in terms of composition, there are also similarities or even identical elements concerning the approach to selected vocabulary.
