V českém prostředí méně známým je iluminovaný rukopis z doby kolem 1300, jenž obsahuje legendu o životě sv. Františka, zakladatele a duchovního otce řádu menších bratří. Katalogové heslo se proto zaměřuje zejména na detailní popis rukopisu, jeho skladby, obsahu a charakteristiku iluminací a to v první řadě z hlediska dobově aktuální prezentace světce v roli „druhého“ Krista (alter Christus).

In Bohemian context little known illuminated manuscript originated around 1300 comprises the legend of St Francis, the progenitor and spiritual promoter of the Franciscan Order. That´s why the text provides a detailed description of the codex, its composition, content together with the comment on the miniatures considering the current presentation of the saint as alter Christus.
