AnnotationThe organic derivatives of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate (2-)anion have been suggested as prosthetic groups for attachment of radiohalogens to proteins. Since spontaneous labelling of closo-dodecaborate anion does not practically occur, the Chloramine-T or other oxidants are used. However, the astatination of boron cages with .sub.211 At makes an exception. The cause of this phenomenon could be intensive alpha radiation of .sub.211 At, subsequent radiolysis ofsolvent and oxidation agents production. The aim of this study was, therefore, to investigate the impact of ionising radiation on the closo-dodecaborate (2-) anion labelling with.sub.125 I.
