Electron Bernstein modes, which are mode converted into electromagnetic wave in the upper hybrid resonance region, can be responsible for the measured radiation in MAST.The conversion efficiency at upper hybrid and plasma resonance region is determined numerically. Intensity of ECE is determined from Rayleigh Jeans law,where temperature is determined from WKB solution of EWB propagation.
