The study introduses two kinds of reality in dynamic interaction: tangible structures and changes of landscape and more hidden driving forces in terms of community values, preferences, and behaviour. We use a narrative approach to elucidate new emerging changes in our landcape and their serious consequences. What we are concerned about are the inconspicuous spatial changes in landscape caused by the global network of supermarkets and hypermarkets. This interaction is clear visible in the presented new story. The previous rural story is vanishing to give way to a new one, this time global consumption story.
