    AnnotationThe current work focuses on the understanding the formation, accumulation, fate and effects of ozone, other photochemical oxidants and fine particulate matter in local ("subgrid") scale in the Mediterranean area. An evaluation of the importance of mixing/transformation interactions, and the adequacy of existing modelling methods, for photochemical/fine particle air pollution systems, using extensive field data and modelling methods for gas and aerosol phase is performed.
