    AnnotationEnzyme cutinase was immobilized by adsorption on poly(hydroxymethylsiloxanes) of different texture and its activity was tested in transesterification of vinyl butyrate with 2-phenyl-1-propanol in hexane and compared with that of lipase adsorbates. The supports were characterized by porosimetry, contact angle measurements, SEM and fluorescence spectroscopy using several porphyrins as probes. It was found that the adsorption of tetrakis(N-methyl-4-pyridyl)porphyrin on poly(hydroxymethylsiloxane) yielded low loaded adsorbates in which porphyrin was bondid as monomer.
