The supports were characterized by porosimetry, contact angle measurements, SEM and fluorescence spectroscopy using several porphyrins as probes. It was found that the adsorption of tetrakis(N-methyl-4-pyridyl)porphyrin on poly(hydroxymethylsiloxane) yielded low loaded adsorbates in which porphyrin was bondid as monomer. An efficient entrapment was achieved by the incorporation of porphyrins in the course of siloxane matrix formation. In the case of tetrakis(N-me Workplace Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals Contact Eva Jirsová, jirsova@icpf.cas.cz, Tel.: 220 390 227 Year of Publishing 2008
