    Prior experiments demonstrated the importance of StkP in natural competence development in S. pneumoniae. In order to understand the molecular mechanism of StkP function, we investigated the expression profiles of competence genes in competence-induced and non-induced cultures of both S. pneumoniae wild-type and delta stkP mutant strain using qRT-PCR

    Inaktivace stkP genu vede u S. pneumoniae k výraznému snížení schopnosti přirozené kompetence. Abychom zjistili molekulární podstatu tohoto fenotypu, testovali jsme pomocí qRT-PCR u divokého a delta stkP mutantního kmene S. pneumoniae expresní profil vybraných kompetenčních genů
