Description in English The author is focusing on the double reception of the antiquity in the Itinerarium written by Czech Franciscan missionary Václav (Remedius) Prutký. First he deals with the antiquity as the object of the direct exploration and its literary presentation by the autor-narrator. Secondly he reports on the Prutký´s access to sources – books from the antiquity.
