Such a sample adjustment should increase the quality of data obtained from subsequent PCR, where only particular short DNA fragments are considered to be biomarkers of the cancer disease. In our study, the device was designed, fabricated by 3D-printing from the polymeric material HD PLA, and tested. A method based on electromigration separation techniques for the preparative separation of short DNA fragments from larger fragments has been developed and partially validated.
